Heat pump prices: one fixed price for the size your room needs
Every package is a high-wall heat pump sized by kW, with a standard back-to-back install and the electrical certificate in one figure. Until our installers are contracted, each package shows the published NZ market range: $2,500–$3,500 for a small room up to $4,500–$6,500 for a large open plan (Top5.nz, August 2026).

Chosen by the kW our size calculator gives your room, not by brand.
Bedrooms, studies, small lounges and most insulated living rooms in mild and moderate climates. Rooms up to about 34 m² in a mild climate, up to about 28 m² in a cold one.

What's included in a standard install

Allowances follow the published NZ standard back-to-back definition used by Harvey Norman NZ. Our installer's agreed allowances will be listed here and in your confirmed price.

Price questions
Why don't you show your fixed prices yet?
Each package price is set from two installer quotes for that size, plus our margin. We're contracting installers now, so until that's done we show Top5.nz's published market range and label it as that. Join the waitlist and we'll email you the fixed price.
Do prices include GST?
Our package prices will include GST. The market ranges shown are Top5.nz's published installed prices.
What if my install isn't standard?
The installer's site check measures the wall, pipe run and switchboard. Anything outside the standard install is priced in writing before you accept. If you don't want the extras, you cancel and your deposit is refunded in full.
How much is the deposit?
$200, fully refundable until you accept the confirmed price after the site check, and credited to your balance.
What about ducted or multi-split systems?
They're priced on a custom quote, because the ductwork and number of rooms vary too much for a package. See ducted and multi-split heat pumps.
